Friends will be received at the JOHN A. FREYVOGEL SONS, INC. 4900 Centre Ave. At Devonshire Street, Monday and Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Wednesday. "Stanley Serowik, 74, a 33-year resident of Mt. Lebanon and formerly of Dillonvale, Ohio, died Thursday, May 26, 2005, after a courageous battle of 23 years with cancer. Stanley was a Korean War veteran who attained the rank of staff sergeant, a graduate of Point Park College, a retired senior accountant postal employee with more than 37 years of service, a life member of the DAV and an honorary member of MOPH (Military Order of the Purple Heart). Beloved husband of Rosemary A. (Anuszkiewicz) Serowik. Devoted and loving father of Capt. Joseph John "J.J." (Kristi), Michael A. (Carmel) and Monica R. "Missie" Serowik. Loving Pappy of Alek, Billy and Adam Serowik. Brother of Stella Bombich and Regina Miller. Predeceased by beloved parents Anthony and Mary Serowik, brothers Alexander, William and Frank and sister Marie Konop. Best companion to his family's loving, four-legged friends, Disney and Mugzie.
